Definition

UPI AutoPay is a mandate-based feature that allows users to authorise recurring payments through UPI for subscriptions, bills, or scheduled payments without requiring manual approval for each transaction.

How UPI AutoPay Works

Customers approve a mandate with defined limits and frequency. Once active, payments are automatically executed as per the mandate schedule. Each transaction follows RBI and NPCI guidelines, including notifications and the ability to pause or cancel mandates.

Why UPI AutoPay Matters

UPI AutoPay enables predictable collections for businesses and convenience for customers. It reduces missed payments, manual follow-ups, and operational overhead, especially for recurring use cases.

Business Use Cases

UPI AutoPay is used for subscriptions, utility bills, insurance premiums, EMIs, and maintenance contracts. Businesses benefit from stable cash flows and improved collection efficiency.
